This Privacy Policy explains how SecureVault (“SecureVault”, “the app”, “we”, “us”), published by Capyka, handles information when you use our macOS application. By using SecureVault, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we do not collect1. 我们不收集的信息

SecureVault does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number, account credentials).
• The contents, names, or metadata of the files you store in the vault.
• In-app usage analytics, behavioral data, device fingerprints, or advertising identifiers.
• Location data.
• Crash logs or diagnostics sent to us. (macOS may offer to share diagnostics with Apple under your own system settings; that is controlled entirely by you and Apple, not by SecureVault.)

The SecureVault Mac app contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking technologies.

2. Website analytics2. 网站分析

This website uses Ahrefs Web Analytics and Google Analytics to understand page visits, traffic sources and App Store link clicks so we can improve the site. This does not give us access to the contents of your vault, your app data, or your files.

3. Information stored on your device3. 存储在你设备上的信息

Everything SecureVault manages is stored locally on your Mac:

SecureVault 管理的一切都本地存储在你的 Mac 上：

• Your files. Files you import are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption and stored inside the app’s protected local container.
• Your vault password. Encryption keys are derived from your password and protected using the macOS Keychain and, where you enable it, biometric authentication (Touch ID). Your password is never stored in plain text and never transmitted.
• App preferences. Settings such as language, appearance, and layout are stored locally on your device.

This information never leaves your device, is never uploaded to any server, and is never accessible to us or to any third party.

4. Device permissions we use4. 我们使用的设备权限

SecureVault requests only the access required for its features to work, and all of it operates locally:

• File access — to import the files you explicitly choose to add to your vault.
• Biometric / local authentication — to let you unlock the vault with Touch ID or your device password via Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is handled entirely by macOS and is never exposed to the app.

5. No cloud file storage5. 无云端文件存储

SecureVault has no backend infrastructure. It does not require an internet connection to function, and it does not sync, mirror, or back up your data to any remote location. Any backup you create is an encrypted archive that you save and control yourself.

6. The App Store & Apple6. App Store 与 Apple

SecureVault is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. Any purchase, download, or subscription transaction is processed by Apple, and Apple’s handling of that information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your payment details or personally identifying purchase information from Apple.

7. Children’s privacy7. 儿童隐私

SecureVault does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it poses no data-collection risk to users of any age.

8. Data security8. 数据安全

Your data is protected by on-device AES-256 encryption, macOS Keychain-backed key storage, and optional biometric locking. Because nothing is transmitted or stored remotely, there is no server-side database that could be breached. The security of your vault ultimately depends on keeping your device and vault password secure.

你的数据由本地 AES-256 加密、macOS 钥匙串支撑的密钥存储以及可选的生物识别锁定共同保护。由于没有任何内容被远程传输或存储，也就不存在可能被攻破的服务器端数据库。你保险箱的安全最终取决于妥善保管好你的设备和保险箱密码。

9. Your rights9. 你的权利

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a company. Since SecureVault holds no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete. You remain in full control of your data at all times: deleting a file in the app, or removing the app, permanently removes the corresponding local data from your device.

GDPR、CCPA 等法规赋予你访问、更正或删除企业所持个人数据的权利。由于 SecureVault 不在任何服务器上持有关于你的任何个人数据，我们没有任何东西可供检索、更正或删除。你始终完全掌控自己的数据：在应用内删除文件，或卸载应用，即会从你的设备上永久移除相应的本地数据。

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
